Porsche Cayenne (Panamera, 911, 918, & Cayman) Throttle Body - Features, Failure Symptoms, And Product Review
Whether you need to replace the stock throttle body on your 911, or if you're looking for a cost-effective performance upgrade for your Cayman, this OE throttle body from Bosch will be what you need.
Do you know the signs of a bad throttle body? While some are obvious, the other symptoms can be mistaken for other issues with your car. Some of the main signs include:
- Check Engine Light. While a check engine light in and of itself isn't an indicator of a failing throttle body, coupled with the other symptoms below will paint you the total picture. You can use an ODB Scan Tool to determine if this is, in fact, your issue.
- New cars like these Porsches have a "limp mode" to protect itself from any issues. If your throttle body is failing, there's a good chance your car will go into "limp mode" to protect itself from the failures resulting in too much or too little air.
- Lack of power, poor performance, or rough idle. Without the proper amount of air, your car is going to struggle to run properly.
This Porsche Throttle Body isn't just a replacement for the Cayenne, Panamera, 911, and 918; it's actually used as a performance upgrade on the 987 Cayman. The only other thing that this upgrade requires is a wider intake plenum.
