Many of you may not know about the German company Wulf Gaertner. In the 1950’s the company started out as a small exporting and trading firm for original equipment spare parts to South America. The company through the 1960’s and 1970’s continued to grow its reputation and spread into an international supplier of replacement parts for German cars. In 1995 Wulf Gaertner acquired the Meyle brand becoming an international engineering and manufacturing firm for replacement car parts primarily for European vehicles.
Meyle has a wide range of products for European vehicles including replacement suspension, braking, and mechanical components. In total Meyle has a 17,500 replacement parts available in their catalog. Some of the more popular components that we sell here at FCP include suspension and braking components.
One of the lines that Meyle is known for is the Meyle HD line. One of the main advantages of the Meyle HD line is that the products are redesigned to address common failure trends of OE designed parts. For example, one of the most popular Meyle HD products we sell at FCP are replacement front lower control arms for E46 non-M BMWs. These control arms are reinforced and feature larger ball joints to improve performance. In addition, Meyle designed the control arms to have serviceable ball joints. This is something that the OE design does not allow for and it is a huge plus for many enthusiasts and repair professionals when it comes to choosing components for repairs. The Meyle HD line also consists of tie rods, sway bar links, and bushings.
Another popular Meyle line that we carry here at FCP are GEOMET coated brake rotors. They have quickly become a first choice for many customers and enthusiasts due to their high quality construction and non-corrosive coating. Brake rotors are a very common replacement item. One of the major beneifts behind these rotors is the non corrosive coating that is applied to the rotor surface. This coating keeps the rotors from rusting in the packaging and they do not need to be cleaned prior to installation. Additionally, the finish resists corrosion and rust on the non braking surfaces keeping the brake rotors looking attractive behind the wheels for longer periods of time.
FCP carries a wide array of Meyle and Meyle HD parts for your European vehicle including Volvo, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi.
