FCP Euro Motorsports Weekend Update, 2/26/2017
The response we continue to receive for FCP Euro Motorsports is very overwhelming. Here's an example that was sent to us this week from someone who raced professionally in the 80's, and understands the automotive industry; "You guys set the bar for AER for a team. The look, tent, car livery etc.....was first class. Congrats on a fantastic effort and result. You know what it took....I am very impressed." He went on to compliment our coverage on social media, our team strategies, our level of professionalism... stating that we're the type of team he sees moving up the ladder from AER and really making a splash!
Our very own Michael Hurczyn joins the 1,000 lap club!
Our Road Atlanta race continues to have an impact, as our very own Michael is honored with the 1,000 Lap Club pin in the American Endurance Racing series. What is more impressive, is that he did it in only 6 races!
Motorsports Pit Stop
In motorsports this week, we're focusing efforts on getting the team, car, and processes ready for Watkins Glen! On the task list is replacing the front brake rotors on the Mercedes C300 with stronger discs. The stock drilled discs work extremely well on the street, but cross-drilled rotors tend to crack from heat under the intensity of an endurance racing.
The car could also use better alignment and suspension settings to reduce uneven tire wear.
We are still using the stock filler neck, so we need to find a way to improve refueling equipment to reduce the time it takes to fuel during pit stops:

We've been busy on social media! Our ROWE announcement and giveaway promotion last week did very well, getting over 300 shares on Facebook, and the attention of CRP to do the same type of giveaway for their product. Earlier this week, we announced our full line of Pentosin products, and holding another oil kit giveaway tonight on Facebook, so be sure to share it with your friends!
The photo below is the winner of the ROWE oil giveaway as a child washing the E30 that once belonged to his father, and passed down to him... the BMW he won the ROWE oil change for!
Our Mercedes-Benz C300 race car has also been getting some love from W204 themed pages on Facebook. This beautiful car belongs to the owners of one of the groups based in New Jersey. They're very interested in our Mercedes Motorsports presence this season, and we're organizing a group trip to show them our facility and the car.
