A properly functioning fuel pressure sensor is an essential component in the overall function of your P2 chassis Volvo. If you have a P2 chassis Volvo and are unfamiliar with this fuel pressure sensor, you should and will become familiar as they require regular replacement.

As mentioned above, this fuel pressure sensor fits all P2 chassis Volvos and replaces the fuel pressure regulator from older models. If you're unsure if this fits your vehicle, just select your year, make, model and options from our drop down menu on the site's home page.

So how do you know if the fuel pressure sensor in your car needs replacing? The symptoms crop up in numerous ways, from erratic idle, loss of power, even as far as stalling completely. If you're having any of these symptoms, usually they're accompanied by fault codes—Having any of these three codes is a good indicator that the fuel pressure sensor needs replacing:

  • Fault Code: ECM-280b
  • Fault Code: ECM-280c
  • Fault Code: P0193
