Santa came early this year!
Here at FCP Euro, we focus heavily on our core values, the first of which being "People Before Profits". This holiday season, we continued working with our local chapter of The Boys & Girls Village right here in Milford, CT to help make Christmas wishes a reality. With locations in Milford, Bridgeport, and Norwalk, the Boys & Girls Village is one of Connecticut's leading providers of behavioral, educational, vocational and permanency planning services for at-risk youth, helping over four hundred people every day.
Throughout the year, Pam Rossman, our Director of Talent and Development, organizes numerous charitable efforts. This season, Pam set an amazing goal - to raise one thousand dollars for gift cards which would be matched by the company. In addition to the gift cards, employees could choose a gift from a list made directly from the kids' Christmas lists. The items on the list ranged anywhere from Lego sets to Bluetooth speakers, to even just the basics like clothing.
Day by day excitement rose as we crept closer to our goal and packages rolled in. It was our own personal Christmas here in the office as the gifts were opened, checked off the lists and placed in our collection bin. Operations Engineer, Alex Fiorelli, adopted the role of opening every gift as it came in. He might have enjoyed this more than the kids will on Christmas day.
Check out our video below to see how the charitable drive all came together. Make sure to subscribe for regular updates on what's going on here at FCP Euro. Next year, we're going to try and beat what we gave this year to make even more wishes come true.
Happy holidays from our family to yours.
