Here's a full tutorial on how to replace the fluid in your BMW E90 325xi's transfer case.

All fluids in your vehicle are important—whether it be engine oil, coolant, power steering fluid, or brake fluid. And in the same way you change all of that for the longevity of your vehicle, it's important to do the same for your transfer case.

Clean fluid can extend the life of this expensive-to-replace unit, as well as keep seal leaks at bay. The good thing is, it's a relatively simple procedure that can save you money down the line. We've got a video below that details the process step by step.

This procedure should be the same for most AWD "xi" BMW vehicles. If you need help with a specific make or model, drop it in the comments below and we'll be happy to help.
