2021 FCP Euro Partner Awards: Pivots and Problem Solving
In a year filled with so many challenges, hiccups, and shortages, FCP Euro was proud to be partnered with so many great companies that continued to support us through it all. Our partner awards are an opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond servicing not only our customers but our company. As we’ve done in every iteration of our Partner Awards, our teams get together from several departments to discuss and debate those partners who stood out to us over the past year. Because this organization is built with the help of so many great partners, choosing just one winner for each category was a difficult task.
As the entire industry experienced, 2021 was chock full of delays, disruptions, and cancellations, making it an incredibly challenging year to acquire and distribute products. All of FCP Euro’s partners helped navigate through the supply chain issues, but none were quite as effective as CONTEX Shipping GmbH. For that reason, FCP Euro is excited to present them with their 2021 Pivots and Problem Solving award. CONTEX Shipping’s loyalty to their service shepherded FCP Euro through constant cancellations and restraints to help deliver another successful year of business.
The German shipping and logistics company began working with FCP Euro in 2014 and has since become their primary inbound freight partner. CONTEX Shipping GmbH’s shipping expertise and commitment to success meant they shipped over 130 containers for FCP Euro throughout 2021, totaling more than $25 Million in inventory. While that itself is an enormous feat, it’s only half the story. Throughout the year, CONTEX never failed to underestimate the inbound volume. While FCP Euro’s competitors have had shipments canceled, CONTEX’s overall proficiency allowed them to maintain a sub-20-day average time frame from vendor invoicing to container departure throughout the whole of 2021.
As FCP Euro continues to expand, so will their partnership with CONTEX. Plans are in motion to better support funneling inventory to our warehouses and dial in overall container forecasting by accurately predicting our needed container volume on a vendor level. It’s a fascinating time for FCP Euro, and we’re proud to be moving forward with the help of CONTEX.
