2021 FCP Euro Partner Awards: Marketing Support
In a year filled with so many challenges, hiccups, and shortages, FCP Euro was proud to be partnered with so many great companies that continued to support us through it all. Our partner awards are an opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond servicing not only our customers but our company. As we’ve done in every iteration of our Partner Awards, our teams get together from several departments to discuss and debate those partners who stood out to us over the past year. Because this organization is built with the help of so many great partners, choosing just one winner for each category was a difficult task.
While FCP Euro is a company dedicated to providing all the parts you’ll need for your European vehicle, there’s more to it than just that. They’re a company filled with enthusiasts working for enthusiasts to grow and share the enjoyment of owning European cars—and that’s why FCP Euro’s 2021 Marketing Support award goes to Essa Autosport. Their coordination and partnership in the BMW 340i Drift Taxi build series brought an explosive and exciting piece of content that introduced FCP Euro to the masses while delivering tire-shredding joyrides to fans. A successful partnership so far; FCP Euro is pumped to experience what the future has in store.
The partnership between Essa Autosport and FCP Euro began in 2020 with plans for a full 2021 sponsorship. Essa’s BMW E46 M3 built for Formula Drift wore a full FCP Euro/LIQUI MOLY livery throughout the 2021 championship. On top of that, they handled the Drift Taxi build series in which they built the entire car and coordinated all of the filming. After delays and mechanical issues holding the car back, it was completed just a few days before needing to head to Michigan from Los Angeles. A last-minute transport cancellation left Michael Essa and the team to truck the 340i to Michigan themselves, showing up just before the start of Gridlife. Fans were blown away by the car and enjoyed watching it shred, both in person and on YouTube.
With FCP Euro’s headquarters based in Connecticut, finding exposure on the West Coast can be challenging. The partnership with Essa Autosport delivered that in spades with the 340i, especially during its exercise at the Hoonigan’s Tire Slayer Studios. With another year of Formula Drift on the way, Michael Essa and his E46 will continue to carry the FCP Euro banner in the 2022 championship as well as take spectators for rides in the 340i at upcoming Gridlife events.
