Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG Transmission Parts

There are a lot of warning signs when your vehicle is experiencing transmission issues you can keep an eye out for. If you notice any of the following signs of issues you need to find what exactly the problem is right away to avoid causing further damage. Depending on the issue, transmission repair can be expensive; this is why you have to figure out what the issue is immediately. One of the most common symptoms is when your car takes awhile to move or does not move at all when the shift is put in drive or reverse. This occurs when the motor is revving but your vehicle is not. You press your foot on the gas, but your vehicle seems like it is stuck in neutral. You may also notice pink or black oil below your car. If you have questions concerning your vehicleÕs transmission, the FCP Euro team and website are always standing by to resolve any of your concerns.
About Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG
In 2001 the Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG model was added to the SLK lineup. This new SLK32 AMG model was for Mercedes fans that were looking for a little more grunt out of their roadster compared to the already fun to drive four cylinder SLKs. The Mercedes SLK 32 AMG came with a 3.2 liter V6 that was supercharged from the factory producing a hearty 349 horsepower for the performance minded Mercedes fans. With greatly improved horsepower of the SLK it became a fierce threat to the BMW M series Roadster and Porsche Boxster S. The AMG division went all out and even added a Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission to the SLK32 providing 32 percent quicker up shifts. A notable engine design feature unique to the Mercedes SLK32 was the two spark plugs per cylinder design for maximum combustion. The SLK AMG model still had awesome signature features of the regular SLK including a retractable hardtop, one of the first modern hardtop convertibles of its time. You can fold down the retractable hardtop roof known as the Vario roof with just a push of a button letting in fresh warm air while cruising down the interstate in your sporty SLK32 AMG. It’s interesting to know that the SLK-Class including all SLK models was largely successful with over 311,000 SLKs sold between the years of 1996 to 2004. In 2005 the SLK was heavily reworked with the introduction of the R171 chassis that was sold until 2011.
