Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark back in 1938, Elwis Royal is the leading gasket manufacturer in Scandinavia. The company is family owned, the current head being Petter Lottrup. Elwis Royal is split into two major divisions: an industrial division and an automotive aftermarket division. From the automotive division, they produce a whopping 4,000 different gasket types, with more than 1,000 of those being tailor-made for the automotive aftermarket.

In order to retain the quality their customers expect, Elwis Royal manufactures their gaskets out of original gasket material or equivalent.
