BMW Fuel Injector Parts

BMW has been known over the years for their obsession with quality and advanced engineering, all while forcing the auto market to keep up with their highly developed vehicles and products. BMW is part of the German big three, along with Audi and Mercedes. Their integrity speaks for itself and follows into their products and vehicles, especially their fuel injector parts and components. BMW fuel injectors are linked to high-pressure fuel lines to transfer a mist of fuel for engine combustion. Injectors on some BMW engines may manage extremely higher fuel pressure. More than you would find in other injectors. Regardless the fuel pressure used and the reliability of the injector, your fuel injectors will function in the same way as in other vehicles with fuel injection. The fuel injector solenoid, triggered by an electrical signal, opens a valve, letting in pressurized fuel to flow through nozzles and shot into the cylinder. Your BMW’s solenoid and valve operation, can be tested easily. First, start engine and hold the pad of a stethoscope onto the top of your fuel injector. Listen through the stethoscope to the fuel injector. During regular operation, the fuel injector will make a clicking noise as the solenoid engages the valve. Replace the fuel injector if this clicking noise is not heard on any of the injectors. For fuel pressure regulation testing, first disconnect the vacuum line linked to your BMW’s fuel pressure regulator. Point a light into the vacuum line connection hole. If fuel is in the vacuum line, your fuel pressure diaphragm is ruptured. Ruptured diaphragms can also force your BMW’s gas fumes to be pushed into our interior cabin. Replace the regulator if the diaphragm has been ruptured and reconnect the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator. If you have questions about BMW’s fuel injector parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website are here for any support.

You should immediately replace your BMW’s injectors that do not pass the resistance test. For voltage feed testing, you should move the ignition key to the on position. You do not have to start your BMW's engine to check the voltage being transferred to your fuel injector's electronics plug. Next, grab the electronics plug from one of your fuel injector terminals and set the multi-meter to measure the volts. Put in both the red and black leads into the electronics plug leading from your fuel injector. Either lead may be put into either side of the plug. Measure the incoming voltage. This voltage should be exactly 12 volts. Replace any injector if the lead is reading at 12 volts, but the injector is not working. FCP Euro's respected and loyal call center staff is here and able to answer any questions you have or support you may need.
