BMW EGR Parts
BMW brought themselves into the auto industry with an obsession to the brand’s quality and innovative designs since day one, all while forcing the competition to keep up with their highly sought after vehicles. BMW is part of Germany’s big three auto producers, along with Audi and Mercedes. They make up the three best selling luxury vehicle creators on the planet. Their credibility speaks for itself and transitions into their products, especially their EGR parts and components. Your BMW's air pump check valve makes sure that your exhaust fumes are managed to flow into the exhaust pipes so they do not clog up into the engine and damage your vehicle. Finding the location of where your BMW’s air pump check valve is at is an easy procedure. The first thing you need to do is put your BMW up on a hydraulic lift and lift it high enough to get below your engine. If you do not have the lift as an option, you can jack up the front of your BMW or pull it forward onto a set of ramps. The important thing is that you get enough space to look below the vehicle. Open the hood and position a flashlight to get a better look at your air pump check valve, as well. If you have questions about BMW’s EGR parts or components, the FCP Euro team and website are here for any support.

Next, crawl below your BMW and look on the left hand side of your engine, if you are facing the windshield. You are looking for the cylinder head and exhaust manifold ports. This will be on the lower part of your engine and will have three large tubes extending out of it and heading in different directions. Find the diverter valve and the air injection reactor pipes, which will be the two most rear tubes coming from the cylinder head and exhaust manifold. Follow these two tubes until you see a small metal object that the tubes are feeding through and continue on behind them. This is the air pump check valve. These are silver when they are brand new, but your BMW's engine most likely will leave it looking black and brown in color. Examine the status of the valve and replace it if need be.
