BMW AC Evaporator Parts
Quality is one of the most important pieces to the BMW brand. They have a vast product line, which has reinforced them in growing into a one of the most important auto brands out today, and even with their AC evaporator parts and components. The inside of your BMW can hold up to 10 times more contaminants than the air in an equal volume of space outside of your vehicle. A common source of these issues comes from your air conditioning system. The AC evaporator becomes wet as humid air is passed over its cool surface. This wet environment is a central place for mold and mildew to grow and for dust to collect, which find their way back into the air system. Bacteria grow well in this here, which becomes warm, but still damp when you shut your BMW off. This contamination needs be cleaned frequently. It is important to examine your BMW’s air conditioning system below your hood. You are looking for the evaporator box assembly, which is on the firewall that separates the engine compartment from the passenger area. It will be a plastic encased box that pops out from the firewall. The heater blower motor will be attached to it. You are looking for the best way to get to the air conditioning evaporator core. If you have questions about BMW’s AC evaporator parts or components, the FCP Euro team is here for any assistance or support you need.

You are now ready to spray the cleaner through the access point towards the evaporator core. Many of these cleaners are foam based, which manufacturers design to cling to all of the surfaces inside of the heater box, which cleans and disinfects them. Fill the space with foam and let it set for about a half hour. The foam will turn liquid and pass through the drain openings when it has finished its job. Casually rinse the area with water. You can use a light spray from your garden hose. Have someone watch the inside vents while you do this incase you spray water inside of your BMW. If you are not happy with the hose, use a spray bottle containing clear water. Seal the heater box and install the resistor block or blower fan if you took them out. If you drilled a hole, use RTV silicone from a tube to seal the opening. When you want to clean the evaporator again, just pick the dried silicone out with a pick or screwdriver to get to the core. Start up your BMW for another half hour with the heater set to hot and the blower on its highest setting in order to dry the space completely.
